2015 KOTA Annual Conference

The Kentucky Occupatoinal Therapy Association held its annual meeting September 18-20 in Glasgow, Kentucky. Representing more than 400 OT professionals across the state, KOTA includes occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants and students of occupational therapy.

Ford and Simpkins Present Capstone Projects

On August 3, 2015, two EKU Online OTD students presented their capstone projects to faculty and the community. The projects showed leadership in making change in the profession and improving client care.

The Role of Occupational Therapy in Primary Care

My capstone project for the EKU Online OTD program is titled “The Role of Occupational Therapy in Primary Care.” It is focused on communicating, influencing and educating other health care professionals regarding the role of occupational therapy in the future model of primary care delivery initiated by the adoption of the Affordable Care Act and the Triple Aim Initiative.
